Nov Monthly Challenge "Friend"---My example
Hi all,
Here is my example that I made for this month's challenge. It took me a total of 2 hours from start to finish. I started it at 7pm and finished at 9pm. This is quickly becoming my stress reliever. I don't have children like allot of my followers...but between my dogs, my house, the countless hours I put into Educate a Bull on a daily basis along with my full time job I too have allot of trouble trying to find the time to scrap. But I have been forcing myself to dedicate a total of 5 hours a week to scrapping and have found it allot easier to find. When I told my husband about it he quickly became one of my biggest supporters and makes sure I find that time. I hope all my followers,find time for themselves. I think allot of the time women give so much to their family that they tend to forget about themselves! If you have figured out for yourself how to carve a small amount of time for you, please share it with us in the comment section. It just might be the inspiration one of my other visitors need!
November 2010 - Challenge #1
Hi Everyone! Today kicks off our monthly scrapbooking challenge! I am so excited to see what type of projects come through!
The first of every month I am going to post up a challenge to all who want to partake.
To submit your entry:
All entries will be due the last day of that month. Please email all entries to me at followmyleadonline@gmail.com. All submissions will be loaded onto my blog once the contest is over.
I will then post these entries on my CTMH forum and have other CTMH consultants vote them on them for 3 days.
The entry that wins will receive the prize that is being offered for that month! The prizes will vary from month to month and will be announced with the challenge on the first. Hopefully we will be able to get some sponsors so the prizes can get better and better!
Okay here goes your first challenge:
November 2010 your challenge is:
The word FRIEND. You can use any variation of the word like friendship or friendly, just make sure your project, whether it be a card, scrapbook layout, etc...contains some form of the word friend.
Breakout those scrapbooking supplies, get your creative juices flowing, but most of all, HAVE FUN!
I can't wait to see everyone's submissions!

**NEW DATE** Xmas Card Workshop
Hi Everyone,
On Saturday evening we discovered that Friday the 5th was not going to work for anyone for my workshop so we have decided to move it.
The new date and time is:
Friday November 12th at 6:30 pm...it is still at my house, just the date has changed.

Christmas Card & Candle Workshop
Location: My House
9263 Lakeshore Road
Angola, NY 14006
When: November 5th at 6:30pm
Projects: 4 Christmas cards and a Christmas candle.
Cost: $7.00.
The master chef Mike will be supplying dinner/drinks/desserts for us girls so be prepared to be pampered!
This workshop is also going to be a MYSTERY HOSTESS gathering!!!!
Earn tickets by:
1.) Reading my blog the night before and remembering information from it.
2.) Bring a guest that is new to our scrapping booking group
3.) Bring the requested supplies
4.) Filling out your Christmas Wish List card I will be supplying you
and more!!!!

Here is an example of the stamped candle we will be making.....I had SO Much fun making this....( I know the finished pic is poor, but it gives the jist of the project...there is glitter on it, as well as some watercolor art...)
They make really nice xmas gifts for teachers, bus drivers, etc...something small but personal....
I really hope you all can make it! I will be a GREAT time!

Remember if you cannot make it, you can always order the kit and I will send it to you......

Monthly Creative Club - No Commitment Required

My Monthly Creative Club is geared to help us all take some time out for ourselves and have a few hours to be able to leave the world behind and spend that time creating beautiful projects that we will be able to treasure for years to come.
My Creative Club meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm at my house, however, you do not need to be local to be part of the club. My long distance members get their kits mailed to them and any orders they place, get drop shipped to them directly from Close to My Heart. I will post the months project on this site one week prior to the first club meeting.
Club Information:
You are welcome to join the club at anytime.There is no commitment to stay in the club for any length of time, or to place an order. There will be between a $5 - $10 charge (depending on that months project) for the supplies used for projects we make that evening. I do ask that you RSVP at least 24 hours before the club meeting to ensure I have a kit made for you. Our projects will range from cards to small gift items, to scrapbook pages, and more. Each person who signs up for this club will have their name added to the bottom of the hostess list. the list will rotate every month. The person whose name is on the top of the list will get the hostess rewards that month. In order for your name to keep its "place" on the list, you must place an order for that months "kit" whether you attend the class or simply do it on your own.
I think this is a great way to stay active with your scrapbooking, earn some really good scrapbooking rewards, and keep in touch with your creativity.
